Four score and 15 years ago… but, I digress. I was born in 1972 right here in Texas. I was home schooled from grades 7-12, then started college at 16. I studied Commercial Art in college and realized I loved Art dearly but hate commercial art so I moved on to working on the roads in my own home county. I spent a good 21 years at it, and now I’ve gone back to Art, just not the commercial variety (more specifically, not advertising).
I paint, draw, sculpt and design. I build wood furniture, trinkets and baubles. I love to tinker and make things in general. I’ll build things out of steel, wood or fruit-loops, whatever suits the task at hand. Nowadays there’s a label for people with my predilections, we’re called ‘Makers’. I must confess that I do find the term amusing since it really describes most people from rural farming/ranching areas.
I will do commissioned pieces, and I will also be willing to make a piece similar to one I have already done, though there is no exact duplication possible.
